Bonjour idrissihatim, unfortunately this is an English speaking only forum.

A google translation of your post

Hello everyone, my name is Hatim Idrissi, I am an interior designer, I had a website for 8 years on Joomla but the company that created the site for me closed it and they did not give me access, so as not to make the same mistake I had to redo the entire site from A to Z all by myself knowing that I have no experience in web development, I created it with WP on hosting and with the help of Chat GPT. My question is is it true that Google detects sites written by AI and is it not good? Do I have to redo everything? Please give me your opinion on my site https://natureldesign.ma/, without forgetting that I did it myself without any help and that I am not a professional. and how I can improve it. Thank you very much for your help

My go to comment, but it is a good idea to look at how others have designed their sites, and get some inspiration.

For an interior design site images should be the main focus. It would be nice to see your designs on the homepage.

I would say less text and more prominence given to your illustrations. Also what with it being light text on a dark background you could do with more spacing, padding, increased line heights etc. I would also lose the glow effect on the text, the effect isn’t easy on the eye.

Most interior design sites seems to go with a light theme, but here is just one result I have found from a quick google that uses a dark theme.

Thank you very much for your feedback and valuable advice.
One of the challenges I faced when creating my site was adapting it to mobile versions, which was quite difficult for me. Since this is my very first experience building websites, I wanted to follow Rank Math’s recommendations to the letter. This led me to create about 2,500 words per page in order to achieve a 100/100 score, which I managed to do.
As for the other adjustments you mentioned, I will try to fix and improve the site, especially by following your suggestions regarding highlighting images and improving the visual design.
Thanks again for your help!

Sorry about this post but imagine I would post in a forum used by interior designers, that I used AI to design my interior and that I have heard that this is not that good and maybe you can help me to make it perfect

Hi Thallius,

I must admit that I didn’t quite understand the meaning of your message. My initial question was aimed at understanding whether Google can actually detect AI-generated websites and if this could lead to a decrease in the site’s authority.

In my case, for interior architecture design, I use AI only for creating 3D plans intended for clients, making sure they won’t be able to tell the difference between an AI-generated design and one made by a human (if that’s what you meant in your example).

Thanks for your feedback and clarification!

I meant, that many of the users here earn their money by selling web design as you earn money by selling your design. But you replace our income with AI to save money. So maybe we should save money too by not hiring you but using AI?

Hi Thallius,

Thank you for your response. I understand your point of view, but I would like to clarify my approach.

First, my initial question was about the impact of AI-generated content on a website’s authority. I was wondering if Google can actually detect this type of content and if it might lower the domain’s authority. I’m aware that AI raises concerns, especially for those whose work relies on content creation, which is why I wanted to better understand the potential risks.

Additionally, I decided to create my website with the help of AI primarily because of a bad experience in the past. As I mentioned in my first post, a company built my site 8 years ago but kept control of the access, which prevented me from updating or modifying it during all that time. This was a real barrier for my business, and that’s why I wanted to handle the creation and management of my site myself this time around, to avoid depending on anyone else.

Finally, regarding the use of AI in my own field, episode 1 I recently published a video on my YouTube channel where I explain that, in my opinion, AI will never fully replace humans. In interior architecture, emotion plays a key role, and that’s precisely what AI lacks. I invite you to watch that episode, which is less than 5 minutes long, if you’re interested. I believe that for web content creation, it’s somewhat similar. For example, I designed my site myself because AI can’t fully grasp what I envision. However, I acknowledge that AI can be very effective for text writing, and perhaps even replace writers in some cases, though I’m open to different opinions on this.

Thank you for this constructive discussion, and I really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

There’s a great example of what you’re talking about in this very post. In your original French post you say “sans oublier”, which was then translated by Google translate to “without forgetting”, which is indeed literally what it means, but a human would never translate it as such as it sounds off in English. In English, “keeping in mind” is probably a better translation.

That’s exactly the kind of nuance I don’t see AI making in the foreseeable future.
