  • how to design forms to work on small screens
  • how touch impacts on forms design

Description

A recent study found, that on average, designing a form to have a great user experience almost doubled the rate of successful first-time completions. For example, eBay made an additional $USD 500 million annually from redesigning just the button on one of their mobile form screens.

More conversions, fewer dissatisfied users, better return on investment. Can you afford not to improve the UX of your forms?

This book will walk you through every part of designing a great forms UX. From the words, to how the form looks, and on to interactivity, you'll learn how to design a web form that works beautifully on mobiles, laptops and desktops. It’s filled with practical and engaging insights, and plenty of real-world examples, both good and bad.

“A splendid book that I'm happy to recommend to anyone who wants to create a good from — or to improve one that could be better." Caroline Jarrett, co-author of Forms that Work

Who is this for?

A must-read for anyone who has to design a form or has a decision-making role in a project involving forms. Very clear, easy to understand, gives you the aha moment of why some nice bells-and-whistles on forms don't work as expected.

I loved the book, have been building forms by trial and error for 20 years because there have been no college courses, really vague if any tutorials and very very few books dedicated to this niche of programming. I appreciate how you discuss all facets involved, from the wording to label placement. This really should be a textbook for anyone who is looking to do forms.
