VP of Engineering (Platform) We are seeking a VP of Engineering for an innovative Series-C Scale-Up revolutionising customer service within the e-commerce space. The team have developed their own AI powered customer support platform designed specifically for e-commerce businesses. The platform helps to centralize customer interactions from various channels, including email, social media, live chat, and SMS which helps businesses enhance customer satisfaction, streamline support operations, and ultimately drive sales growth As the VP of Engineering, you will report directly to the CTO and lead a large (45 Engineers), cross-functional platform engineering group. Your mission will be to empower product engineering teams by delivering reliable core APIs, comprehensive documentation, enhanced developer experience, managed services, templates, and best practices. Key objectives for this role include ensuring and improving service maturity standards in disaster recovery, monitoring coverage, and security practices, while also driving the team to enhance the overall developer experience. We are seeking a VP of Engineering with the following experience: Experience leading and scaling exceptional cross-functional engineering teams. A strong technical background in Software Engineering (Python/Java), Data Tooling (Kafka) and DB’s (Clickhouse, Postgres) Exceptional Leadership experience with Prior experience at Director/VP of Engineering level. Experience working within largescale data environments. Compensation: Base up to $340,000 CAD Bonus, Equity and wider benefits. Location: Toronto - (Hybrid 2 days per week in-office)
