Website feedback

Hi all.

I am very happy to be part of the team.

I would like some feedback on my company’s website.

Any comment about the content of the style, or anything would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance.

  1. First there are issues in https://pagespeed.web.dev regarding speed etc
  2. Second is personal opinion. Too much focus on “design” hide the “message”.

For me, it’s not so much ‘hide the message’ as it is… ‘there is no message’. Even if you peeled back all the design, there’s just… not much THERE. Pretty much everywhere i go on the site, it feels empty. So much empty space.
It feels like a site that is supposed to have in-page navigation and/or snapping between ‘pages’ of the scroll.

Google Translate translates your subheading on the About Us screen as “Two words for us”, which feels like an odd phrase, but maybe its just GT butchering a saying as usual.

Hi sibertius.

Wow. That was quick. I didn’t expect an answer to my post in such a short period of time.

First of all thank you for your comments and the time you spent for the feedback.

I have seen the metrics for the site from page speed insights. The speed for desktop is ok and the speed for mobile is somehow lower. I can make it a lot faster, but haven’t purchased the pro plugin for increasing the speed more, yet.

For the issues that the insights mention, do you know if I can resolve them with any other way rather than the cache and optimization plugin?

Considering the spaces, so you think that if it had the sections closer , it would seem better?

Thank you again.

Hi m_hutley,

Thank you for your response and the time you spent to give me feedback for the site.

Do you think that if I had smaller spaces and if I make the menu sticky , it would look nicer?

Considering the translation , this translation in Greek that you mention is a “free” translation of the phrase in English “some words about us” and that’s why Google translate it accurately.

Thank you again.

Regards.

You could potentially save (according to Pagespeed) at least almost 2 seconds without another plugins.

Yes, but this is about manual work. Follow the instructions and measure again for each step.

The first thing I should do, is to try to let Cloudflare cache the content. As a bonus you get the website behind proxy.

Here is my way to think:

Remove every bubble or other design element that not enhance the message. Clean it up. Focus on the message. Design for design sake is waste of resources. Use design for enhancing the message. Not to distract.

let me share my experience on site optimize, don’t use cdn instead use local host you hosting for (bootstrap, tailwind, jquery, fonts ) or any other cdn., use only required size image according to your layout size, define width and height on image, use webp image format, try to avoid shape shifting, remove used css and js (PurifyCSS, UnusedCSS ) i prefer purgecss. if possible host imag in image hosting server, load your js file after site is fully ready, jQuery is best for that ‘document ready’

Doing these things your site will dramatically changes the speed. Best For shar hosting

So there’s two ways to look at this. Either you make the spaces ‘big’ enough that each section is a ‘page’ within the page (a section designed to occupy the whole screen) and then move the user from ‘subpage’ to ‘subpage’ quickly (using some javascript most likely), without needing them to manually drag, or you condense the page a bit.

Keep this in mind. If you’ve got a paragraph in the middle of a subpage, a paragraph in the middle of the next subpage, and your user needs to scroll down to find something, they will reach a point in the middle where they’ve got 2 half-subpages of blank (the bottom of the first, and the top of the second) in frame. So basically, an entirely blank screen. That’s going to feel empty and sparse on information.

Hey
I took a look at the website, and it looks great. The tagline and focus on creating stylish, professional websites for digital success are clear and appealing. The content is engaging and communicates the value of your services effectively.

One suggestion might be to ensure that the design aligns perfectly with the tagline’s promise of style. Sometimes, a few tweaks to the visual elements can enhance the overall impression and make the website even more memorable. Also, if possible, incorporating client testimonials or case studies could add credibility and showcase your success stories.

Overall, it’s a solid presentation of what you offer. Great job!

Best regards,
