How to know if the backlinks are good or harmful the the website?

Hi,
i have bought backlinks from different supplier from fiverr to agencies. How can i say if its will inhense my traffic and how to check the harmful ones?

At best paid-for links (and links you place yourself) will be of no value whatsoever. At worse they can harm your SEO attempts.

The purpose of backlinks is to show you have content that others consider worthy of linking to. Google knows the difference between the two.

Save your money and create great content instead.

Not all backlinks are created equal! Ideally, backlinks come from high-quality, relevant websites in your niche. These links can boost your website traffic by increasing its credibility in search engines’ eyes. However, backlinks from spammy or unrelated sites can actually hurt your ranking. To identify bad backlinks, watch out for sudden bursts of links from suspicious websites or those with low-quality content.

The best way to get backlinks? Create awesome content that people naturally want to link to. You can also use free tools like Google Search Console or limited free backlink checkers to see who’s linking to you and identify any potential harm.

I understand your interest in growing your website’s traffic through backlinks. However, I would caution against relying too heavily on low-quality backlinks, as this can actually do more harm than good in the long run.

The key is to focus on building high-quality, relevant backlinks from reputable, authoritative websites. These types of backlinks are much more likely to drive sustainable traffic and improve your search engine rankings. Buying bulk backlinks from questionable sources like Fiverr often results in links that are spammy, irrelevant, or even penalized by search engines.

To assess the quality of your existing backlinks, I’d recommend using a tool like Ahrefs or Semrush to audit your backlink profile. This will help you identify any potentially harmful or low-quality links that you may want to disavow with Google. From there, you can shift your focus to creating valuable, shareable content that naturally attracts high-quality backlinks over time.

The most effective approach is to build your authority and relevance organically through consistent content creation, outreach, and strategic link building. While it may take more time and effort, this will set you up for long-term, sustainable growth rather than short-term, risky tactics.

I’m happy to provide more specific guidance if you have any other questions! The key is to be patient and focus on quality over quantity when it comes to your backlink strategy.

Here’s how to spot bad ones:

Low-quality websites: Back links generated from such sites may be the cause of the reduced ranking.
Irrelevant sources: The relevant link referring sites to used should be related to your site.
Unnatural anchor text: Having too much specific keyword text in backlinks is not good or preferable.

To check backlinks, dear readers, try using such free tools as Google Search Console and disavow bad links.

Hello,

I would say the most important is to vary the backlinks and the anchors

You can :

  • spy on competitors’ backlinks
  • find “do follow forums” in the same topic as your website
  • find free directories or local directories like Yelp, Hotfrog, Hepcash
  • you can find people who are experts in your field and ask them to write an article for them
  • in exchange for backlink

In conclusion, I would say to check the spam score to avoid bad backlinks. You can check the spam score for free with the Moz bar ( you have to create an account on Moz)

Qualities of High-Quality Backlinks
Relevance: Links coming from sites in your niche or sector are worth more.
Authority: Backlinks from websites with a lot of clout, such as respectable blogs and well-known periodicals, are given more weight.
Traffic: Your website may receive more visits as a result of links from popular websites.
Natural and varied anchor text is preferable. An overly optimized anchor text may appear untrustworthy.
Dofollow vs. Nofollow: Links that are marked as dofollow pass on link juice, which might help your rating. Despite not passing link juice, nofollow links can nevertheless increase traffic and brand recognition.
Placement: Content-integrated links are more useful than links in sidebars or footers.
Link Context: Natural links pointing back to your website are better than sporadic or pointless mentions.
Qualities of Negative Backlinks
Links from low-quality or spammy websites: These are websites that seem to be full of advertisements, have subpar content, or both.
Links from websites that have no connection to your specialty at all may be interpreted as manipulative.
PBNs and link farms: Backlinks from networks established just for building links might be detrimental.
Over-optimized Anchor Text: Penalties may result from using exact-match keywords in anchor texts in excess.
sponsored Links: If sponsored link schemes are detected on a website, Google penalizes the offending site.
Links from rogue websites meant to lower your position are considered negative SEO.
